Suncor Fire Water Pumps Replacement

Rotaflow was awarded the scope by Suncor in 2019 to assess the condition of fire water pumps in two plants in Northern Alberta and identify if they reached their end of the life cycle. As per the finding of this assessment, Rotaflow was awarded to proceed with the replacement of the firewater pumps to improve the overall reliability of the fire protection system at those plants and to meet the NFPA 20 requirements for fire pumps. The scope for one of the plants consisted of the replacement of existing firewater pumps and associated gear drives, diesel engines, pump controllers, diesel fuel storage tanks and system equipment/piping. Rotaflow undertook the entire EPC scope including scoping study, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning. The scope for the second plant included Replacement in Kind of fire water pumps.
